Who We ARE

Electrical Systems, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Robert J. Bergeron, a native of Chicago with nearly 20 years of construction management experience at that time. Since 1978, the company’s annual sales have grown from under $200,000 to more than $25 million. We attribute our growth to dedication to satisfaction, the quality of our employees and excellence in the work performed.

Building a successful electrical contracting company is not just bidding plans and specifications – it’s becoming a partner with the owner or client. We believe our success is largely due to our partnership approach to doing business.

We serve our clients by taking an active, informed role at the onset of every project. Understanding and accommodating our clients and establishing open lines of communication are an integral part of our operations. To that end, our management and execution of every project is closely monitored and shared with our clients.

Safety is our priority.

Safety is our first priority. We incorporate a comprehensive safety program into our daily business operations and maintain an OSHA incident rate far below the national average. It is our policy to:

  • Comply with federal, state and local regulations governing safety at the jobsite
  • Take expedient action to correct or isolate unsafe practices or conditions
  • Promote safety awareness
  • Hold employees accountable for their individual responsibility for safety
  • Encourage our employees to inform their supervisor immediately when conditions are unsafe
  • Make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees can complete assigned tasks safely

We employ a full-time Safety Director to coordinate and manage our Safety and Loss Control Program, which includes:

  • Simulated OSHA Inspections
  • Tool Box Safety Talks
  • Safety Equipment Maintenance Checks
  • Supervisor Training
  • Assured Grounding Program Compliance
  • Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Program
  • Job Site Safety Audits
  • Respiratory Protection Program
  • Hazard Communication
  • Corporate Safety Responsibilities
  • Corporate Safety Manual
  • Huddle Up For Safety Program
  • Pre-Job/Pre-Task Safety Analysis
  • Safety Incentive Program
  • Fleet Safety Program

Management

Team Management represents our approach to client satisfaction. Our staff includes qualified engineers, project managers, estimators and superintendents with specific areas of expertise. The diverse background of our personnel allows us to put together an experienced management team best suited to the particular needs of each project.
